Comment by ReNae Allen on February 13, 2012 at 4:18pm I had a lot of fun creating this plaque. I had the idea to feature brides in the Groom's family, to show the bride his heritage, and her new family. I purchased a 7 Gypsies printer's tray, and set out to do just that. I selected the Le' Romantique Paper Collection from G45, and cut out illustrations of brides from the paper, strategically cutting them to fit in the tray. I covered the whole tray. Next I put gesso on the little frames, and painted them with paint dabbers that coordinated with the colors of the paper. Once dry, I adhered the old photos to the frames and hot-glued them to the tray. The next steps were just to embellish. I put trinkets and old buttons in the tray, and lots of Prima flowers. Vintage lace and pearls were added to complete the frame. I selected bronze corners from Tim Holtz and antiqued them along with the tray itself, with Glaze in the bronze color. The whole project took about 8 hours to complete.
